Welcome, and thank you for being here.
If you’re new, I’m so glad you’ve joined us. To those of you who’ve been here a while, thank you for your messages, your reflections, and your resource suggestions. (And yes… from what I’ve heard, quite a few of us are feeling a little frazzled.)
December feels a bit like a magic carpet ride; beautiful, fast, and slightly unhinged. Many of us are simply holding on, with plans, goals, and projects quietly paused while we just ‘get through’ these weeks.
In light of what I’m navigating in my own life, and what I’ve been hearing from so many of you, it feels right to offer a gentle reminder this week:
12-week plans, projects, goals and dreams only become possible when we have our health and therefore the energy to give to them.
If you’re battling yet another cold, supporting a loved one through illness, or running on just a few hours of sleep while holding everything (and everyone) together, spinning countless plates, it becomes achingly clear: health is everything. It has to be the foundation of all else.
Pushing through might work short-term, but longer than a couple of weeks and it’s our bodies, and then our minds, that begin to suffer.
So here it is, plain and simple:
Let your health rise to the top.
Without it, everything else pauses anyway.
This week, focus on what puts your oxygen mask on first.
