Still Hanging Onto The Rail? How To Take The Leap of Faith | Check-in No.9
Moving forwards with firm determination and self-trust

True courage is walking forward, not because the fear is gone, but because your reason why is louder.
Hello there ,
Whether you’re deep into this journey or only just arriving, I’m so glad you’re here.
Wherever you’re starting from, you’re not doing it alone.
This week has been a reflective one, full of realisations and, dare I say it, moments of pure clarity. (I know right?! I am enjoying it that’s for sure).
I’ve had some powerful conversations, both in client sessions and out in the world, with people standing at the edge of something they really want.
These aren’t people who’ve played it safe. They have a history of doing hard things.
They’ve shown remarkable courage. Taken bold risks.
They’re seen by others as brave, inspiring, even fearless.
And yet, as the next step approaches, they are feeling that familiar grip of fear.
It’s showing up as imposter syndrome, fear of failure and doubt, casting a shadow over their dreams.
They’re standing at the edge, reaching for something new, but can’t quite let go of the rail to make the jump. (Think Indiana Jones on the invisible bridge moment…!)
Why does this happen? Surely if we’ve proved it to ourselves once, we must not feel the fear anymore, right?
Wrong. These feelings can resurface time and time again, often when we are doing something new and different; something which is stretching our comfort zone. Taking a leap of faith feels like relying on external forces; the universe, God or anything else we believe in, but actually these fears are born from a loss of faith in ourselves.
And that’s the faith we really need to tap into.
