What's your 'why'?
When you reconnect with your why, motivation comes much easier!

Hey,
How are you today?
Before we begin, go and get yourself a glass of water.
Got one? Great, now enjoy a sip. (Aaaahhhhh)
Now take one lovely juicy deep breath in through your nose, fill up your lungs…
And exhale slowly through your nose.
Welcome. ☺️
Now that you’ve completed your Life Audit using the Wheel of Life and your ‘What Matters to Me Tool’ (if you haven’t…download them at the bottom of this letter), you probably have a much clearer sense of what your values are and what’s driving the changes you are wanting to make, or are making in your life. You also may have an area of your life now that you can see is in need of the most change or improvement. So what’s next?
Someone shared a little piece of wisdom with me this week:
"Ask 'why' five times, and you’ll usually land on what truly matters."
So, let’s workshop an example through:
Life Area: Health
“I want to lose weight.”
Why?
Because I don’t feel good about myself. Why does that matter?
Because I want to feel more confident in my body and how I show up in the world. Why does that matter?
Because when I feel confident, I’m more social, more open, and more willing to go after what I want. Why does that matter?
Because I want to build stronger relationships, start new ones and take more opportunities in work and life. Why does that matter?
Because I want a life where I feel empowered, connected, and proud of how I’m caring for myself.
Suddenly, it’s not just about weight.
It’s about confidence, connection, opportunity, and living with self-worth.
Let’s look at another one…
Life Area: Career
“I want to change my job.”
Why?
Because I feel unfulfilled and stuck. Why does that matter?
Because I want to feel like my work has purpose and reflects who I really am.Why does that matter?
Because I spend so much of my life working, and it’s draining to keep doing work that doesn’t align with my values. Why does that matter?
Because I want to have energy left for the people I love and the life I want to build outside of work. Why does that matter?
Because I believe I’m here to live a life that feels meaningful, joyful, and aligned, where I can contribute in a way that feels true to me.
Suddenly, it’s not just about the job. It’s about alignment, energy, legacy, and living with purpose.
